The new mobility game From 5 to 4 arrives in Portugal and at ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal

The new mobility game for cities has arrived. Public transport and walking, car pooling and car sharing, bicycles, electric bicycles and scooters, or even perhaps a skateboard, all are valid and creative ways of getting to work which can also help replace cars and improve our cities.

This sort of change is slow to take place because we are creatures of habit and for us mobility is still all about the car.

The mobility game From5To4 is a breath of fresh air, stimulating companies and their employees to ponder alternative ways of getting to work and better understanding the costs and benefits of their choices.

In this very serious game, daily commutes are awarded points, CO2 emissions and calories consumed. Players, teams and companies will be challenged to meet new sustainability goals.

In Portugal, the game begins today. ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal aims to improve its sustainability and the health of its employees.

For 4 months employees will play From 5 to 4, with access to information and a new car pooling platform which will allow them to plan better ways to commute. The game includes prizes and celebrations.

This initiative by the European project MOBI – Promoting Smart Mobility to Employees is part of the Intelligent Energy Europe programme, which is taking place in 6 countries, including Portugal, where TIS – Consultores em Transportes is responsible for its implementation.

Other Portuguese companies will be able to take part in the game during 2015.
