Design Exhibition - Portuguese Furniture at Lisbon Airport

Starting 15 October, and for two months, the central square of the Lisbon Airport, known as Praça Central, will be hosting an exhibition of Portuguese furniture, which has earned worldwide recognition and awards for its design and quality. This Exhibition is the result of an Agreement between ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal, the Portuguese Association of Furniture and Related Industries (APIMA), Feito de Portugal (Portfolio store operator) and DHL.

More than 20 pieces of furniture from 10 manufacturers will be on display and they will all be for sale at the Portfolio store, with delivery guaranteed by DHL.

Furniture and Decoration play an increasingly important role in the regeneration of the Portuguese economy and this is currently one of the most important exporting sectors.

Airports as showcases of excellence

Since airports are the ‘calling cards’ of Portugal and a valuable opportunity to create and to promote the image of the destination where they are located, ANA, S.A. has supported the creation and development of unique concepts that seek to strengthen the country’s image, helping to project Portuguese brands and companies on a global scale.

This Agreement once again reinforces the notion that national airports can play a role as showcases of excellence for the internationalisation of projects in various branches of the Creative Industries in Portugal, whether by putting products on sale in key stores or by organising shows and exhibitions.

It was with this vision that ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal created the brand Portfolio – Made of Portugal, a brand made in Portugal for a store that lives and breathes all the authenticity, originality, creativity and innovation that Portugal is made of. Portfolio is a concept developed jointly by ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal and Áreas, which is also responsible for operating the store. More than a store, it is a way of projecting the image of our country, making Portugal a compelling destination and ensuring that those who are leaving will want to return.
