Berlin-Schönefeld now closer to Faro

The new route between Berlin Schönefeld and Faro, served by easyJet, will shorten the distance between the German capital the Algarve during the summer of 2014. The route was celebrated yesterday, 25 June, by Faro airport, the airline, and hundreds of arriving passengers.

This is the only flight to Berlin-Schönefeld, the tenth easyjet route out of Faro and the first easyjet flight to Germany from the Algarve. The A319 was christened on arrival and its crew and passengers were welcomed with gifts.

This summer, easyjet invites passengers from southern Portugal to visit the captivating city of Berlin, full of exciting attractions, known for its contrasts between modern and traditional.

The direct route will have two weekly flights, Wednesdays and Saturdays (see timetable below), with an A319 aircraft, offering a total of 6.552 seats and 42 aircraft movements this summer.

For Faro, now linked to another Berlin airport and with a total of 6 direct weekly flights to Germany, this is a very positive sign from the German market.

For easyjet, this route reinforces its commitment to Faro and the Algarve region and its mission to flying passengers to city centres, helping them to save both time and money.
